Between 31 August 2012 and 2 September 2012, the Board and some other Rotaractors went to Madora Bay for our annual strategic planning weekend.
The weekend was characterised by lots of fantastic food thanks to our resident chef Jacqui Ly, nerf wars thanks to our resident geeks Tristan Kolay and Meng Chua, and cool cocktails thanks to our resident bartender Dragan Koncar.
However, besides the team bonding activities that occurred, the weekend wasn’t all just fun and games. Thanks to the very experienced facilitator Nick Lim, we spent all of Saturday building what we considered to be the Rotaract Club of Perth’s vision, mission, and values for the upcoming year. In addition to giving the Club a direction for the year, we also managed to tie down our desired focus in terms of our project areas (in international, local, and PPD portfolios) and ran through the events that we were planning to June 2013.
